|I know I haven't written in quite a long time and I'm sorry still that my latest post has to be a sad one (for me, at least).
R.I.P. EDDIE GUERRERO (1967 - 2005)
A lot of you already know that I am and will always be a big fan of the WWE. A lot of you may even know who my favorite wrestlers are.
A lot of you probably don't know that whenever a wrestler "leaves" (permanently or to another federation), it always leaves me very, very sad and emotional. I am very, very attached to it and it has already become a part of me already. I'm sure you guys know what I mean. You've felt this before. It may be a bit shallow (I thought so at first) but it's there. It's that for me.
The last time I felt so down was when I found out that Owen Hart, one of my most favorite wrestlers ever, died during a live event in 1997. It was real hard for me to accept that I could never watch him do something new again. He may have been a heel (a bad guy) but he was a great wrestler.
Last month, another one of my favorite wrestlers died, not during a live event but in his hotel room. Eddie Guerrero died because of a heart disease, a heart disease he and his family knew nothing about until he died.
I cried. I cried for him and for the family he lost and for the fans who miss him. It seems so unreal. Just a couple of weeks ago, I watched him in a pay-per-view event with Batista, and winning that event.
His death is just so sudden. I was so used to seeing him so full of life, so full of laughs. I may not have known him personally but he's still a part of my life in a way, you know.
I think I've just depressed myself even further. But when you've grown up watching all these people regularly, loving what they do, you can't help but feel a little incomplete when something tragic happens to them.
On a more positive note, I'd like to thank Ganns for the nominations! Super Blessed has super blessed Jax Place with two nomination, for Most Enjoyable Female Filipino-Christian Blog and The Blog On! Most Superblessed Christian Blog of 2005! Hop on over to Gann's place and check out the other nominees.
On yet another positive note, congratulations to all the Filipino athletes for claiming the top spot in the recently concluded SEA Games held in the Philippines. You make the Philippines so proud, you guys!
