I know I haven't written in quite a long time and I'm sorry still that my latest post has to be a sad one (for me, at least).
R.I.P. EDDIE GUERRERO (1967 - 2005)
A lot of you already know that I am and will always be a big fan of the WWE. A lot of you may even know who my favorite wrestlers are.
A lot of you probably don't know that whenever a wrestler "leaves" (permanently or to another federation), it always leaves me very, very sad and emotional. I am very, very attached to it and it has already become a part of me already. I'm sure you guys know what I mean. You've felt this before. It may be a bit shallow (I thought so at first) but it's there. It's that for me.
The last time I felt so down was when I found out that Owen Hart, one of my most favorite wrestlers ever, died during a live event in 1997. It was real hard for me to accept that I could never watch him do something new again. He may have been a heel (a bad guy) but he was a great wrestler.
Last month, another one of my favorite wrestlers died, not during a live event but in his hotel room. Eddie Guerrero died because of a heart disease, a heart disease he and his family knew nothing about until he died.
I cried. I cried for him and for the family he lost and for the fans who miss him. It seems so unreal. Just a couple of weeks ago, I watched him in a pay-per-view event with Batista, and winning that event.
His death is just so sudden. I was so used to seeing him so full of life, so full of laughs. I may not have known him personally but he's still a part of my life in a way, you know.
I think I've just depressed myself even further. But when you've grown up watching all these people regularly, loving what they do, you can't help but feel a little incomplete when something tragic happens to them.
Hay life...
