What does Nora Ephron say? |
I love watching Sleepless in Seattle. It just ended a couple of minutes ago on HBO. I only found out about it when I was flipping through the channels awhile ago. It's not the most kilig movie. It doesn't come off as the world's most romantic comedy movie ever. But it touches you in the same way. The movie shows me that no matter what, love will think of a way to find you, and once love has found you, it's up to you to do something about it. I thought I'd be able to put what Sleepless in Seattle means to me but I guess I can't.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Around 2 weeks ago, I watched the Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan-Nora Ephron follow-up to Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail. When I first watched it several years ago, I didn't like it. I thought they, the creators of the movie, tried to force the Hanks-Ryan tandem and just "winged it".
But watching it again years later, I realized it's not so bad. It's actually endearing in some ways. This time, however, Nora Ephron, shows me (us) to never just disregard anyone. You never know. They might turn out to be your soulmate.

I was able to watch the trailer of the upcoming movie, Troy starring Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, Sean Bean and Eric Bana, directed by Wolfgang Peterson. In case you didn't know, it is based on Homer's wonderful epics, Iliad and Odyssey.
One of my lifelong dreams is to be able to put these two stories into one full-length feature film. Looks like Petersen beat me to it. And he cast Orlando Bloom as Prince Paris! I should have travelled to Mexico a couple of months ago so I could have seen him!
