Jovan's right. :) But an award-winning cake with great word of mouth has always been Polly's Cakes of Merville Park in Paranaque.

Ooooh this is hard! I love dessert! Especially chocolate cakes! :)
Here are some cakes that come to mind:
1) Bistro 110 Lava Cake - It's just small, but this is one of the best cakes I've ever tasted. I don't know if they still have it, I haven't visited the place in a long time. Check it out. Soft chocolate oozes out of the cake. They bake it when you order it, so there's a 20 minute wait. But if you're having a meal, that's okay. Just order the cake in advance.
2) Goodies and Sweets Chocolate Lava Cake. I've tasted this just recently and it's good also! Sorry, I'm really biased because I'm a chocolate lover. But hey, not all lava cakes are as good as these two.
3) Alex Franco's cake. Very unique, I honestly don't know how to describe it, but it's one of the best cakes I've ever tasted. Alex Franco is a wedding supplier. Check out his site at www.alexfrancocakes.com
4) Floyd's Mud Pie and Strawberry Cake - Can you count these? These are ice cream cakes. They are yummy! It helps that the ice cream used is Fruits in Ice Cream. Anyway, I'm not sure though if there's still Floyd's out there. I used to visit the one in Eastwood, but they've closed already.
I have 2 more in mind, but I'm not sure about the sources. One is actually just a homemade cake by Mrs. Galang, the mom of one of my friends. The other one, we get as gifts during birthdays, it's also a chocolate cake but it comes with this caramel cream (?). It's so damn good!!! I'll try to ask for the source.
There's a place in Libis that sells ice cream cakes, I think it's Mom and Tina (?). The ice cream cakes there are also very very yummy.
